Velvet & Wood is an upholstery studio dedicated to using high-quality materials and techniques to preserve and restore all kinds of furniture. We love rescuing pieces! In addition to offering upholstery, restoration and refinishing services for furniture you may already own, we also have a small market of antique pieces available.

Founded in 2018, Velvet and Wood is now housed in a Springville, NY Main Street storefront. Currently, our team is three large, including founder Chris Wojtowicz.

Chris grew up around upholstery, with his grandfather opening up Main Upholstery in Buffalo in 1975. He spent his much of his childhood at the shop and began working there as a teenager. While he eventually left to try other things, Chris rediscovered his interest and love for the craft in 2017 and opened Velvet & Wood a year later. He says that now, reviving and restoring furniture while being a part of a vibrant community is the best of all worlds.
